Job Description

President: The president shall preside over meetings of the organization and executive board, serve as the primary contact to the principal, represent the organization at meetings outside the organization, serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee, and coordinate the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served.  
Time commitment: 4-5 hours/month

Vice President: The vice president shall assist the president and carry out the president's duties in his or her absence or inability to serve. In addition, the vice president plans 4-5 student assemblies and purchases birthday bags.  
Coordinates the standing committees.  Stands in for President as needed. 
Time commitment: 2-3 hours/month  (Greatest time commitment during the beginning of the year, with less later on.)

Secretary: The secretary shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes, prepare the agenda, handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to the membership. The secretary also keeps a copy of the nimutes book, bylaws, rules. membership list, and any other necessary supplies, and brings them to meetings. 
Time commitment: 3-4 hours/month

Treasurer: Processes check requests, prepares financial reports and tax forms, manages bank accounts, oversees budget, provides information for auditing. Time commitment: 12-14 hours/month; (October and November busiest months).  Requires accounting or bookkeeping experience. Click here for more detail.
